Realms of Aermia

Realms of Aermia is a video game implementation of Easy Dungeon Delver Sandbox -  tabletop RPG system with adventure-style exploration (think Zork meets Nethack). RoA has graphics, does the bookkeeping, rolls the dice, and shows the math.

What you get

• One self-contained 30 MB HTML file. Runs offline once loaded. Plays on a phone in mobile Safari. Saves in localStorage with multiple slots.
• A party of up to four heroes from eight races (human, dwarf, elf, halfling, goblin, dragonkin, godborn, wingfolk) and six classes (Fighter, Rogue, Cleric, Mage, Monk, Druid). No racial stat bonuses — each race has a real mechanic instead.
• A d20 attack table on screen. Roll 6 hits SLOW targets. Roll 12 needs the target INFORMED. Roll 20 forces disadvantage. Spend XP to modify; the monster spends XP back.
• Procedural cities, wilds, and dungeons rolled live from d20 tables. Forest entry costs INFORMED. Swamps cost PREPARED. Sixteen named bosses across the world map, including Tarrasque.
• NPCs with mood, faction, and family. Bribe a Loyalist; don't bother with a Zealot. Find out who their brother is.
• Eighty spells across cantrips, common spells, rituals (Wish, Time Stop, Greater Scry), and epic transformations (become a lich, ascend to godhood).
• Biome backdrops and soundtrack for plains / hills / forest / swamp / desert / frozen / mountain / sea / dungeon / cave / city / world.

Status

This is a WIP release. Further versions may be incompatible with the current saved games. The core combat loop, exploration, NPC interaction, and the storyline arcs are largely playable.

How to play

Click Download → open the HTML file in any modern browser → toggle music on if you want the soundtrack → make a hero → start exploring.
